Colonial Built-In Bookcases
Bankston & Bailey designed, built, and installed this pair of distinctive bookcases for a client in Richmond's West End. Among other elements, the cases featured multiple courses of arched moldings, sag-proof solid poplar shelves, raised panel doors, and key blocks based on those in Manhattan's Morris-Jumel mansion.
The progress of these cases' design, fabrication, and installation was closely tracked on our blog during the spring of 2008.
